First Date Checklist
A simple plan can remove a surprising amount of first-date stress.
Before the date
Confirm the time and place, choose a public setting, arrange transportation, and avoid scheduling yourself so tightly that you arrive rushed.
During the date
Put the phone away, ask questions you genuinely care about, share your own stories, and notice how the interaction feels rather than constantly grading your performance.
At the end
You do not need to decide the future of the relationship. Decide whether you would like another conversation or date.
Afterward
If you enjoyed yourself, saying so clearly is usually more useful than trying to follow an arbitrary waiting rule.
